APIASF/Thai Alliance in America Scholarship
One-year scholarship for $2,500/year

* Scholars must be Thai American, Thai nationality studying in the US, or descendents of Thai heritage

* One Scholarship will be awarded towards a student living in DC, MD or VA, and the other Scholarship will be awarded towards a student living in a state outside DC, MD and VA

* Applicants must be high school seniors ­ enrolling in the upcoming academic year as first-time freshmen at an accredited college or university

* Applicants must demonstrate a track record of helping the local Thai community as demonstrated in their essay and/or extracurricular activities

* Be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S. Citizens of the Freely Associated States may apply

* Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year

* Must apply for federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
