Applications have been invited by Periyar University, Salem, in the format prescribed for the University Research Fellowship in the following Twelve Departments for the Academic Year 2010-11:
1 English
2. Journalism & Mass Communication
3. Education
4. Sociology
Candidates with a Post-Graduate degree of Periyar University or of any other university in Tamil Nadu with a minimum of 55% mark can apply for the above fellowships. The minimum marks for SC/ST candidates is 50%.
Selected candidates will be provided a Stipend of Rs. 4,000/- per month with a contingency of Rs. 5000/- per year.
Application form can be obtained from the Registrar, Periyar University, Salem - 636 011 by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/-(SC/ST candidates are eligible to have one application free of cost) drawn in favour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem - 636 011, payable at Salem with a self-addressed envelope (25cm x 12 cm) stamped to the value of Rs.40/-. The SC/ST candidates should enclose an attested copy of permanent community certificate.
