The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures in the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences at the University of Southern California is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of modern Chinese literature and visual culture. Candidates with expertise in modern and contemporary literature, film and media studies, or art and diverse aspects of visual culture are especially encouraged to apply. A PhD is required at time of appointment, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per year, including courses in USCs General Education program.
