Shoes and eggs were thrown by activists at former British Prime Minister Tony Blair during his book signing in Dublin. Around 300 people, representing the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Coalition and other groups, had gathered on O'Connell Street in protest of Blair's role in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars. Activist Kate O'Sullivan, who made a citizen's arrest on the former British Prime Minister, was detained for half an hour.
