Free Business Reporting Course for Arab Journalists

Arab journalists who cover financial issues in the Gulf Arab countries are invited to apply for a free online course in business journalism that will be held November 5 to December 17. Deadline to apply: October 22.

Participants will learn the basics of covering business, including how to work with charts and statistics, how to explain complicated financial concepts and how to highlight the human element in business stories. Selected participants will also explore topics including ethics, economic indicators and interviews.

The course is being offered by the Washington, D.C.-based International Center for Journalists (ICFJ).
