Alzheimer's and Related Disorders' Society of India is organising a national photography competition on the theme Active Life With Dementia and an essay writing competition on the theme Caring for People with Dementia in connection with the World Alzheimer's Day that falls on September 21.
The photography competition would be held in two categories of professional and amateur. The first and second prizes in the professional category carries a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 8,000 respectively while that in the amateur category would be Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000. A candidate can send three photographs.
The essay competition is for graduates and post-graduate students in streams like medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, psychology and home science. The competition would be in three categories and the first and second prize in each category would be given a cash award of Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively.
