English Teacher Volunteer Work in Wangnamkheo, Thailand
Deadline: open

Our students are very keen to learn from and interact with English speakers. The students’ level of spoken English is at beginner to intermediate level, so we do not expect volunteers to have teaching qualifications. Anyone who can speak English can teach it.

We offer home stay accommodation with a local Thai family (at least one person will speak English) and food for every meal. The food will be authentic Thai cuisine and you will have the opportunity to sample a range of different dishes during your stay. We can also cater for vegetarians and vegans.

Volunteers will be asked to take classes for up to 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

In addition, each school is able to offer extra opportunities if you wish to learn Thai language, Thai dance, teaching about Buddhism and Thai culture.

Your weekends will be free to discover the local area, spend time with your hosts or relax.

We are looking for individuals, couples or groups who are able to commit anything from a day, to a month, or more if they desire. We are more then happy to take long term volunteers. Term time is October - March and April - August.

About the location: Wangnamkheo is located 4 hours East of Bangkok, a simple bus trip or minivan ride away. It is placed ideally between Bangkok and the Cambodian border, and due to this, has been very popular among travellers passing through as a stop off. Here you can experience a real Thai lifestyle, contrasting Bangkok and other tourist destinations, and giving you a wonderful taste of the simple life in a beautiful, unspoilt part of Thailand =)
