Publishing Editor II – Arabic
Kelly Services is searching for qualified Arabic Publishing Editors to fill various temporary assignments at CTB McGraw-Hill. We are looking for individuals with strong knowledge in the areas of Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and/or Social Studies.
Position Information:
• Temporary assignments lasting approximately 6 months
• Various schedules
• Pay rate of $40.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities:
• Review and edit items developed by vendors
• Review the translation of Arabic items; compare the English version of the test to the Arabic version for accuracy
• Apply content expertise to editing and revising testing materials in the Arabic versions
• Interact with Development Manager
• Suggest changes in word choice and sentence structure
• Review and edit Arabic scoring guides
• Answering questions about Arabic content
• Test-taking of Social Sciences, Islamic Studies and/or Arabic Language as needed
Qualifications Needed:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
• Previous experience teaching Arabic a the High School and/or College level
• Expert knowledge of history/geography of the Gulf region and/or Sunni Islam
• Computer literate to include MS Word
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
