Blacksmith Books (HK) Currently Accepting Non-fiction Submissions
Blacksmith Books is an independent Hong Kong publisher presenting the works of Asia-based authors to a global readership. In line with our purpose, we offer fast worldwide shipping for all our titles – free within Asia.

Blacksmith Books publishes 10-12 titles a year. We are happy to hear from agents or directly from prospective authors. Please follow these simple guidelines to ensure your book idea is clearly communicated.

We are currently accepting submissions mainly in the field of non-fiction: biography, culture, current affairs, business, photography and guidebooks. Manuscripts should have a strong Asian theme or connection. Please include:

> a one-page synopsis of your book, outlining its major elements
> a few sample chapters, or sample photography/artwork
> a short biography of yourself, detailing your platform for promoting the book
> if possible, a comparison of your book to similar titles on the market

Submissions should be sent as .doc file attachments or hard copy printouts to:

Pete Spurrier, Publisher
PO Box 33761, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
mail (at) blacksmithbooks.com

We are a small house and it may take us forever (or at least eight weeks) to get back to you, but thanks for letting us see your work.
