Call for Applications: La Muse Residency (Southern France)
(Note: Our most recent featured writer, Nicholas YH Wong is a fellow at La Muse. Please read his poems here.)

La Muse Writers’ and Artists’ Retreat is located in a medieval village called Labastide Esparbairenque, in the historic Aude department of Languedoc.

La Muse provides a space where artists and writers can work in a peaceful, isolated and inspiring setting. We have hosted poets, novelists, non-fiction writers, journalists, screenwriters, painters, visual artists, photographers, chefs, composers and directors, among others. Rooms are available to barters, recipients of fellowships and grants, and to individuals who apply directly through La Muse.

Submissions are rolling, and should include the following: a 250-word description of the work you intend to accomplish at La Muse, a current résumé, a one-page sample/photo of your work and the names and contact information for two references, one personal and one professional. Please email your application to getaway@lamuseinn.com.
