BIC Creative Story Writing Competition 2010 is a platform for kids to showcase their creativity in writing. If you love dreaming up and writing creative stories, then this competition is for you! Not only could you get your creative stories published, you could win some cool prizes while you are at it. What are you waiting for? Read our rules and regulations below and get cracking!
WRITING TOPICS: Anything under the sun!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? This contest is open to all primary 4, primary 5 and primary 6 pupils who are Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents.
INDIVIDUAL WINNERS
A total of 10 winners will be picked from each of the 3 categories. Each winner will receive a $30 Voucher and a 1-year (12 issues) YG Magazine subscription worth $36.
WINNER'S SCHOOL
The winner's school will also receive a BIC hamper worth $50. Winning essays will be published in a supplement - available with the September 2010 issue (YG 353) of YG Magazine.
Submission Guidelines
1. Stories must not have been entered in other writing competitions.
2. Entries must be submitted through the school or teacher-in-charge.
3. Stories should be typed out on A4 sized plain white paper OR written neatly on A4 sized foolscap white paper.
4. Each entry should include a cover page with the title, the student's full name, age, school, class, address, and contact number.
5. Participants are encouraged to retain a copy of their essay. Photocopies are acceptable if legible and printed on good quality white paper.
6. All entries will become the property of Panpac Education Pte Ltd and will not be acknowledged or returned.
