Litup Singapore Poetry Writing Competition
Theme for 2010: COLOURS

Calling all new and emerging poets! Write an original poem for this competition. The Top Entry for each category will be awarded S$200 & Certificate of Recognition. There will also be one additional overall award S$100 & Certificate of Recognition for The Most Imaginative Entry. The Judges will also select a number of entrants who will be eligible for 1 full-day mentorship with a published writer.

All entrants agree to be bound by the competition rules and guidelines listed below

* Limited to 2 entries per student. However, only 1 entry per student will be considered for the top award
* Your poem may be of any style but must be based on this year's Festival theme of 'COLOURS'
* Work MUST NOT BE discriminatory, offensive, sexist or racist
* All entries must be in English
* Your poem must be an original piece of work and should not have been previously submitted or published anywhere in part or full
* Organisers reserve the right to amend the conditions and prizes of the competition at any time

Submission

* The poems should be submitted online by Friday, 2 July 2009 at *ADD URL*
* The contest entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by the organisers
* All decisions of the judges are final and not subject to appeal or review
* All winners will be notified on Sunday, 11 July 2010
* Prizes will be awarded at the Closing Ceremony on Saturday 17 July 2010 followed by a reading of selected prize winning entries
