Edit web content from home produced by non-native American English speakers for grammar, usage, content and tone consistent with the standards of American English. A typical editor edits 7500-15,000 words a day. Turnaround time is 12-24 hours. One 500-word article usually takes 4-10 minutes to edit. Writing skills are an advantage, as editors are sometimes needed to assist with writing projects.

The Ideal Candidate

Is a highly motivated and dedicated team player with excellent command of American English grammar and usage. Is a native American or Canadian English speaker. Has a good understanding of American culture and is familiar with many different subjects. Has excellent online researching skills and can search, understand, filter and organize content into original and well-written articles. Shows clarity of thought and initiative. Should be able to edit content so that it is free from grammar, factual, stylistic or syntactical errors. A basic understanding of SEO concepts, keyword usage patterns, norms for article marketing and social media will be an advantage. Experience in web content editing and/or writing will be an advantage. Access to Google Chat is a plus.
