USP-Piper Introductory Creative Writing Course 2010 (Singapore)

22 April 2010
USP-Piper Introductory Creative Writing Course 2010 (Singapore)
In collaboration with the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, Arizona State University, USP is proud to bring to you the 5th USP-Piper Introductory Creative Writing Course. This course is a combination of lectures and workshops where hard work and empathy are expected. Each week, you can expect to complete short writing assignments and a thorough analysis of assigned readings, as well as progress on a larger piece that will serve as your focus throughout the course. This can be a draft or idea you have been working on prior to this course, or something that sparks from our time here in class.

Students who are interested in creative writing should apply online via this link (https://usp3.nus.edu.sg/ems_isis/event_reg.jsp?eventtpctrl_seq_n=1088&event_c=100855) and include:

* A short statement of at most 400 words stating your interest (and experience, if any) in creative writing & a statement stating that, if selected, you will be committed to participating in the programme actively and fully (full attendance for the entire duration of the programme)

Selection will be based on interest in creative writing and commitment to participate fully and actively. This is an introductory course, no experience is assumed. Selected students will be provided with a course pack of the required readings.
