CUSTOM ACQUISITIONS EDITOR

The Custom Acquisitions Editor is responsible for establishing and executing a publishing program that offers customization of publishing content according to the need of the customers for Higher Education Division, Pearson Singapore.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Achieve the specific country publishing sales goals by working collaboratively with Editorial, Marketing, Sales and Technology teams to ensure the success of the products
  • Contact with customers to achieve publishing goals
  • Drive the publishing program and plan out an acquisitions strategy
  • Work with customers and project editors to develop and deliver high-quality and timely customized print and media products and services
  • Co-manage the content through production process with an aim to achieve quality and timeliness that meet the needs of the market
  • Conduct effective and creative presentations to prospective customers
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Degree in any discipline with at least 5 years' of relevant sales and/or publishing experience
  • Independent individual who is commercially driven, market-focused and has the initiative to work flexibly in a dynamic team
  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation and organizational skills
  • Possess a basic understanding of financial goals and objectives for business unit will be highly desirable
EDITORS
  • Relevant tertiary degree [major in Mathematics / Science / English language / Literature / History / Geography
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Freelance/Project-based
  • Minimum 1 year editiorial and/or teaching experience. Those with no relevant experience may be recruited as trainee editors
WRITERS
  • Content knowledge in subjects such as Mathematics / Science / English language / Literature / History / Geography
  • Excellent writing skills
