Job Description:
* The appointed editor will perform the following tasks:
* Editing of content for consistent style and tone
* Ensure proper word usage, reduce wordiness and jargon
* Re-organize and rephrase text for greater clarity and coherence
* Ensure correct use of grammar and punctuation and choice of words
* Rewrite sentences and/or paragraphs and improve on readability, where necessary
* Edit of captions for images
* Proposing suitable article title, where necessary
* Revise and maintain the house style guide for BiblioAsia (optional service)
Job Requirements (Editor’s Prerequisites)
* The appointed editor should have extensive and relevant work experience/track record in the field of writing, editing and publishing.
* Some experience and subject knowledge of Asian and Singapore history, culture, heritage and economy would be an advantage as this would enable the editor to have a better understanding of the content being edited.
