The Role
Bloomberg News is seeking reporters to cover bond and currency markets across Asia in the Tokyo office. Successful candidates will be expected to produce breaking news stories and market reports on economic and political events under real-time deadlines. Covering these fast-changing markets that influence government and central bank policy requires journalists who can cut through market jargon and write the news in a clear and understandable way. The job also includes writing features and profiling policy markets, traders, strategists and investors.
Qualifications
-Minimum of three to five years of experience as a newspaper or a news service
-Ability to write clear, concise and accurate news stories
-Experience in reporting on or writing about currency markets or, at minimum, financial news is essential
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential
-Journalism qualification is desirable
-Fluency in both English and Japanese a must
