Welcome to the summer writing competition! It’s going to be a big one and we’re looking for some real originality. It can be a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a short story or even an essay. You can write it, record the audio, upload a video, or do all three. As long as it amuses us, makes us cry, inspires us, makes us think you’re a little weird or keeps us wanting more. We want a piece of work from somewhere in the world that transcends timezones and cultures. Can you write or perform it?
Entry requirements:
* Free entry
* You must be a member of www.jotspeak.com
* Format can be audio, video or written
* Your entry can be any genre between 10 and 2,000 words, up to 15 minutes of audio, or 10 minutes of video
* Previously published work is permitted
How to enter:
* Work that you wish to submit must be added to your JotSpeak JotPad
* Please indicate clearly it is a competition submission by including the words 'Competition Entry' in the title
* Email jotdays@jotspeak.com to let us know you have entered. Please also tag your entry 'competition'
Rules:
* Submissions must be your own original work
* Entrants can submit a maximum of 3 pieces
* Deadline: 31st August 2010
Prizes:
* First Prize: £75 and 1 month feature on JotSpeak
* Second Prize: £45
* Third Prize: £25
We’ll pick the stories that appeal to us most, and then put the vote out to our JotSpeak and Facebook members. The final decision will be with JotSpeak. Finalists and winners will be announced in early September.
