Tash Aw Talks About the Spread of English Novels in Asia
The recipient of the inaugural M Literary Residency for 2010, Tash Aw, talks about the spread of Asian novels written in English and his plans for his third novel that he will be writing while he is in Shanghai, China for the residency. The Malaysia writer is also set to speak at the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Literary Festival this weekend. In the article written by Kellie Schmitt for CNN, he has also shared his thoughts on the future of Asian writers and the emergence of English-speaking writers in the region.
