Freelance Scriptwriter/ Editor Wanted at Gallagher & Associates Design Studio (Singapore)

Gallagher & Associates Asia Pte Ltd. is a design studio specializing in the planning, design, and management of immersive experiences for museum exhibitions, visitor centers, and educational centers. Gallagher & Associates Asia is currently looking for a Freelance Scriptwriter/ Editor r for a science exhibit in Singapore.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Re-write, edit or “streamline the language” of existing exhibition content as well as provide final proof reading for all Final Digital Artwork.
• The successful candidate should write in such a way that the information can be easily understood and appreciated by a general audience, mainly young people, roughly aged 12-18.
• The writer will need to get familiar, understand the key principles and concepts of the science behind defense technologies, strategies and tactics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must demonstrate prior writing experience in the field of science.
• Prior experience writing for science exhibits and museums interpretive graphics, but not required if writing samples show the ability to write simply for complex/advanced science subjects
• Experience in writing for subjects relating to physics, engineering and technology are a plus.
• Must be based in Singapore and willing to meet with project team at GAA & client offices
• Must be available on a regular basis for meetings, emails and review from time of appointment in mid-late Feb until early July
• Have the ability to streamline the content research provided by the client into fun, educational and easily understandable copy
• Work within a tight deadline and timeframes
