With its gorgeous scenery and unique culture, Bali is one of the most popular destinations in Asia. At our upcoming Bali workshop, you can experience this exciting destination for yourself while learning the skills you need to become a travel writer.

The “Sights and Culture of Bali” travel writing workshop and tour will be held September 20-27, 2013. The optional three-day post tour runs September 27-30, 2013.

ACTIVITIES: We have a well-rounded offering of classes on travel writing, travel photography, social media and even publishing your own blog or website. Your workshop tour package includes a wealth of tour activities and experiences. Please see the itinerary for a day-by-day schedule. While all activities are optional, we encourage you to attend in order to get the most from your Bali experience.

INSTRUCTORS:

The Sights and Colors of Bali travel writing workshop is led by a skilled and experienced instructor team. TWOL director Janna Graber has spent 12 years as a professional travel journalist, covering destinations in almost 40 countries in print, online and video. She has written for more than 50 publications, including Parade, Reader’s Digest, The Chicago Tribune and many more. Janna was the on-camera host for Frontier Airlines Great Escapes. She currently serves as an executive editor at Go World Travel Magazine, and continues to freelance for numerous publications. She is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.

Michael Doliveck is both an award-winning photographer and an expert on Bali. A former art professor for over 17 years, Michael has been coming to Bali for over two decades. Michael will share both his knowledge of photography, as well as his passion for Indonesia and its many hidden wonders. He has written numerous articles on Bali’s culture, art, mysticism, healing and more.

Adventure travel writer Gina Kremer will provide insight on covering the more adventurous side of travel writing, and will be on hand to help with organizational logistics.
