9.9 Media is launching a brand new website and is looking for young professionals who hail from the digital generation to take it to the next level. We are looking for a digital journalist/reporter/editorial associate/tech enthusiast to work with its experienced and talented editorial team. The person will be working directly with the editor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Journalist will be part of the editorial team of CIO&Leader

• S/he will track all technology news from the internet, liaise with PR companies and corporate communication teams of technology companies, and attend PR events (at 5 star hotels) to get news stories on technology (who knows, the next PR junket could mean a trip to US…)
• S/he will be writing stories everyday and post them on the website regularly – (be warned, we follow aggressive targets and reward entrepreneurial attitude)
• S/he will be leading social media marketing for the content that the team creates and will be working across different social media sites like Twiter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.
• S/he will be engaging with senior business professionals (CIOs, Senior VPs, of big companies – that shouldn’t scare you!) to interview them or get their inputs on stories
• S/he will work out of the company’s head office in Noida

What we are looking for: When it comes to qualifications, a journalism background or technology background always helps, as do copy-editing skills and light HTML and Photoshop experience – although none of that is mandatory, as long as you have sufficient zeal to make up for it. Knowledge of social media and previous writing experience are both useful, too. Since the work area is in enterprise technology a technical background (engineering) will be preferred, but again not necessary.
