RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Writing regular daily hyperlocal stories for Coconuts Bangkok with an emphasis on news. Stories will involve a mixture of original reporting and re-writing information from other sources.
- Editing the CoconutsBangkok.com website: Posting stories, writing headlines and captions, keeping homepage fresh, optimizing content for search engines, and more
- Managing freelance writers, posting their stories, creating a schedule of regular contributions and sticking to it
- Some management of Coconuts Bangkok's Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ accounts
- Acting as a local representative of Coconuts Bangkok – attending parties and events, promoting the website, and creating connections
- University degree
- At least one year's working experience at a reputable magazine, newspaper, or, most preferably, a website/blog
- Unique and entertaining writing voice
- Nose for a good story and a healthy competitive attitude
- Relentless work ethic
- Ownership of a decent camera and photo/video skills are a plus.
