Bahrain Writers' Cirlcle September Workshop at Cafe Ceramique
Date: 24 September 2012 (7:30pm - 9pm)

Do you know when to use its & it’s; colon, comma, dash, ellipsis, exclamation, full stop, hyphen, question mark, quotation marks, semicolon?

In this day and age, with so many writers competing for so few writing positions, it is more important than ever for your copy to be as grammatically perfect as possible. Many editors simply will not look at badly written, badly constructed copy, or copy that is grammatically incorrect. And when bad grammar is published, (for example every day in the the Tribune and Gulf News ha!!), it stands out a mile. As a writer, your tools are the written word and how your words are constructed to be both meaningful and professionally written.

So whether native English speaking or non-native English speaking and need a boost to your grammar skills, be sure to attend our next BWC Grammar workshop, run by BWC member Rohini who has been writing grammatically perfect copy for publications worldwide for many, many years!

This workshop is divided into two parts; part 1 on September 24th and part 2 on November 26th so be sure to pencil into your diary these dates. With lots of fun exercises (with prizes for the winners!), you'll be working in teams to extend and develop your grammar and spelling knowledge base.

Venue: Cafe Ceramique, Second Floor, Al Aali Mall, Seef
