The intensive two-day workshop will take you through a series of ideas; getting started, making connections, framing a narrative, breaking through writer’s block, editing yourself, working out glitches and many others.
It will take you to the place where you should begin and give you the toolkit with which to start. Jerry Pinto has been taking creative writing workshops for several years now and offers a workshop that is responsive to the needs of the participants.
Faculty: Jerry Pinto has been a teacher for nearly 30 years. He has taught Mathematics, English, Journalism and Creative Expression. He has conducted seminars and creative writing classes in spaces as diverse as CapGemini and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He has taught public speaking and writes books. His latest books include Em and the Big Hoom (Aleph) and When crows are white (Scholastic).
Avid Literature Program Advisor: Naresh Fernandes is a consulting editor to Time Out's Indian editions and a Poesies fellow at New York University's Institute for Public Knowledge. His book, Taj Mahal Foxtrot: The Story of Bombay's Jazz Age, a history of jazz in the city between the 1930s and the 1960s, in November 2011.
