7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art Writing Contest (prize: return ticket to Brisbane | Singapore)

Reflecting a central theme of APT7, Singaporean students aged 18 years and above, are invited to write about their personal connection to an urban place, be it current, past or even imaginary. Entries can be in any written format, from conventional essay or journalistic article to poetry or prose. Submit your entry in 300 words or less and you could be on your way to one of the world’s most exciting art events.

The Asia Pacific Triennial (APT) is the most important contemporary art event in the Asia-Pacific and this year’s edition marks the 20th anniversary of the APT series. It will feature more than 140 artists from 25 countries across the Asia Pacific.

The winner will receive a return air ticket to Brisbane, 3 nights accommodation and a special invitation to the opening reception for the APT7!

The winner must be able to travel to Brisbane for the APT7 opening on 7 December 2012 and share his/her experience via blog and Facebook post. The winner must also write an article about the APT7 upon return.

INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Please note that the competition is open only to students above 18 years of age as of 1 December 2012 studying in Singapore.
  • Entries open at 9:00am Singapore time, 15th August and close 2pm Singapore time 28 September 2012.
