Come August, enjoy the spectacular performances and light-ups at the Night Festival (24 & 25 Aug, 31 Aug & 1 Sep) in the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct, visit the museums, and blog about your experiences.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Please post a blog entry that is inspired by Singapore heritage, Singapore HeritageFest or Night Festival.
- Each blog entry must be the original and unpublished work of each participant and must not contain any pre-existing third party content, including trademarks, visual effects and/or images that are not the property of the participant.
- Entries must not infringe the rights of any third party. Any submission containing or implying objectionable content will be disqualified.
- Registration data and other personal information submitted to NHB in the course of the Competition will be used by NHB in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- The Organisers will convene a panel of judges to determine the winners based on the following criteria:
- Significance of subject matter to Singapore history or community history.
- Ability of the blog entry to capture the Singapore HeritageFest theme of Recollect, Reflect, Reconnect
- Uniqueness of content or subject matter.
- The judges' decision is final and no correspondence pertaining to the judging process will be entertained.
- The results will be announced online via www.heritagefest.sg and informed via email by 31 September 2012. All prizes are to be collected within a week of notification.

- The competition is open to all Singapore Residents.
- There are two categories :
- Students. The competition is open to all students enrolled in a local or foreign school.
- Open. All Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and residents of Singapore are eligible to participate
- To submit, you can either: (a) Register as a user with the Singapore HeritageFest Blog and submit a blog entry. Files for upload must be no larger than 1 MB, (b) If you wish to submit a blog entry that is posted on your own blog, you must register as a user with the Singapore HeritageFest Blog and submit an entry listing the URL of the blog entry that you are submitting for the competition.
- Entries must be submitted online before 11.59pm on 1 September 2012.
- All entries submitted are final, and no changes can be made after submission.
- Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted for whatever reason. Participants are to ensure that all copyrights of any photos and images used are participants’ own and/or have been cleared for use.
The Organisers (defined as National Heritage Board):
- Have all rights of ownership to the received entries, including copyright, publicity rights and the rights to reprint and otherwise reproduce the photos in promotional, advertising, and publicity materials for any purpose and in any medium. However, the Organisers will acknowledge the participants if their entries are used.
- Reserve exhibition rights and publication rights to the received entries in print, broadcast and electronic media without requiring the permission of the participants and with any fee payment. However, the Organisers will acknowledge the participants if their entries are used.
- Will exercise every care in handling the entries but will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the entries.
- Has the right to disqualify any entry submitted for non-compliance of the rules and regulations and any copyright infringements.
- Will not be liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the participants.
- Reserve the right to modify the competition prizes and its rules and regulations without prior notice.
