Deadline: 30 September 2012
Muse India is a literary e-journal with the primary objective of showcasing Indian writings in English and in English translation to a broad-based global readership. The journal publishes both creative and critical writing and offers a wide range of literary forms—poetry, short fiction, essays, conversations with writers, book reviews and the like. Bearing in mind the general readership on the internet, it will, however, avoid highly academic articles. Besides presenting the work of more established authors, Muse India will also promote talented new and young writers.
In each issue there is usually a 'Focus' on one of the regional literatures of India. In addition, there could be a special 'Feature,' thematic in nature, to highlight important issues of Indian literatures in general.
The following coverage is planned for Issue 46:
Issue 46, Nov-Dec 2012
Focus – Dalit/ Marginal Literature of East & NorthEast
Guest Editor – Dr Jaydeep Sarangi
email - sarangijaydeep@gmail.com
Feature – Contemporary Women’s Writing in India
Editor – Ms Ambika Ananth
email - ambika.ananth@gmail.com
Last date for submission - Sep 30, 2012
Readers desirous of contributing their work for consideration of publication in any of the above-referred sections may mail their submissions to the respective Editors or to submissions@museindia.com before the last date for submissions.
Submissions for our general sections of Literary Criticism, Interviews, Book Reviews, Short Fiction and Poetry are also welcome.
