Heights, the official literary and artistic publication and organization of the Ateneo de Manila University, now accepts applications for the 18th Ateneo Heights Writers Workshop, to be held in Antipolo City, Rizal from August 19 to 21, 2012.
The workshop is open to all current college students of the Ateneo de Manila University. Applicants should send a manuscript of 5 poems, OR 2 short stories, OR 2 literary non-fiction/ essay pieces. The application should be accompanied with the author's name,year and course, and contact details (cellphone number and email address).
Each manuscript should only be in one language, either in English of Filipino, since fellowships are awarded by language. Applications undergo blind deliberations; the profiles of the authors are not considered in the selection. If an application is approved it is ranked versus other applications to determine the top ten.
HEIGHTS covers board and lodging, food, workshop kits, and provides transportation to and from Ateneo for the selected fellows.
