Sine Pinoy Screenplay Competition/ Scholarship (Philippines)

The D’ream Arts Production is now accepting script entries for the Unang Sine Pinoy Film Festival. Entries are accepted via email. Applicants can send their scripts to secretariat.dreamartsprod@gmail.com.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Sine Pinoy Screenplay Competition is open to all local writers (must be a resident or was born in the participating city). Participating cities include Baguio, Manila, Puerto Princesa, Legazpi, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, General Santos, Davao and Cagayan de Oro.

ENTRY GUIDELINES

The script should strictly uphold Unang Sine Pinoy Festival’s theme “Going Hope”. This will be strictly observed.

The running time should not be less than 90 minutes but not more than 115 minutes.

SCREENING MECHANICS

All submitted scripts will undergo three (3) screening process. First, all scripts will be screened by an independent screening committee composed of premier script writers and film makers. They will choose one (1) script per area which will be endorsed to the Festival Organizers (D’ream Arts Production).

The second screening will be done by D’ream Arts Production. The script will then be endorsed to the Local Government Unit for their approval. This serves as the third and final screening of the script.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

All entries must be emailed to secretariat.dreamartsprod@gmail.com with the following:

-- Filled-up Application Form (can be downloaded from www.dreamartsproduction.com)
-- One page A4 size synopsis. (must be in English or Filipino, font is Arial size 12, with one inch margin, double space)
-- Sequence Treatment (50 - 60)
-- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae

Submission of entries will start on March 23, 2012 until April 30 (for Visayas) May 5 (for Mindanao) and May 5, 2012 (for Luzon).

PRIZES

The chosen script will be the city’s official entry in Sine Pinoy Festival Full Length Film Competition and the script writer will receive a full scholarship on the Unang Sine Pinoy National Summer Workshop.
