The University of Melbourne is conducting a competition for students in the UAE with the grand prize being two –weeks at Trinity Young Leaders Winter School in Australia.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Trinity Young Leaders programs offer outstanding academic and personal development opportunities to give senior secondary students an intellectual and social edge for their final years of school.
Students will experience a hands-on taste of university life, be inspired and challenged by leading academics in a range of subject areas, enjoy stimulating extracurricular activities, and build understanding and friendships with other young people from across Australia and around the world.
The prize is valued at AUD $3,000
THE PRIZE COVERS:
■ Tuition fees for the Trinity Young Leaders program
■ All living costs at Trinity College during the program including airport pickup, excursions and official outings in the Young Leaders Summer School.
The prize does NOT cover:
■ Travel to Australia
■ Pocket money expenses
■ Health Insurance
COMPETITION RULES
The competition is based on the best entry of a 100- word piece of writing. This can be as creative as you wish and in any genre or format, but must be only 100 words.
■ Each entry must be signed by the entrant and by the English teacher as the entrant’s own work.
■ A parent of the entrant must sign that they agree to their child’s entry.
■ Entrants must be aged between 15 and 17 at 31st May, 2012.
■ Send entries with official entry form to sindhu_spanicker@yahoo.co.in and a hardcopy with the concerned English teacher’s signature to be submitted to Ms. Sindhu.S (Delhi Private School in Sharjah) by 1st May 2012
