The Ministry of Strategy and Finance is seeking an experienced English editor for its International Media Relations team. Candidates for the position should have the following qualifications:
  • Fluency in both Korean and English (native fluency in English required)
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an English-speaking country and two years of experience in editing (non-Korean citizens)
  • Minimum of Master's degree in interpretation/translation, or Bachelor's degree from an English-speaking country and two years of experience in editing (Korean citizens)
  • Basic knowledge on economics, management, law and international cooperation
  • Familiarity with operation of Korean-language computer systems

The editor's responsibilities will include translation and/or editing of press releases, speeches and publications, as well as production and management of content for the ministry's English-language website.

Candidates should send a cover letter and resume (in Word format) to laurenkang@mosf.go.kr for initial consideration. Those who pass the first round of screening will be invited to take a translation test (Korean to English and English to Korean). Interviews are to be conducted later.
