ITP Publishing is seeking an experienced editor to join its flagship business title. ArabianBusiness.com is the Middle East’s premier resource for informed news, features and commentary. The site attracts a global audience of more than 1.5million unique users per month and is growing on a daily basis. We’re seeking an editor that can take us to the next level.
The editor will manage a talented team of reporters, freelancers and high-profile contributors to set the news agenda for business professionals in the Gulf. You’ll need to be as comfortable editing a high turnover of stories and monitoring regional business trends as you will project managing industry-leading special reports such as the annual Arabian Business Rich List. Overseeing the site front page, daily newsletters, mobile apps and a tablet edition as well as a growing social media network you will need to be a digital all-rounder with first rate news sense.
The right candidate must have a demonstrable background as a news or business journalist. Brilliant headline writing, speedy subbing skills, a tenacious interview style and a creative grasp of what works well online are all a must. This is a hands-on managerial position that would suit a proven leader looking for a new challenge.
The position is based in Dubai and a knowledge of the Middle East region is an advantage although not essential.
