You will work as part of our communications team, supporting the editors in addressing the editorial needs of the sites. Role Description:
This exciting position requires you to research, sniff out and write new articles for 88DB.com and OpenRice.com. Main Responsibilities:
- Create quality editorial content that is presented in a format that meets web usability standards and is consistent with company guidelines.
- Cover media events and conduct interviews for both portals as assigned by the editors.
- Actively participate and contribute to the editorial teams’ creativity, efficiency and accomplishment of goals.
- Create product and promotional copy for all website and online marketing efforts.
- Maintain accountability for the development of editorial content.
- Help manage both sites’ social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
- Perform any other duties essential to the website as directed.
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma/degree in journalism, communication, or related discipline preferred.
- Excellent command of the English language and a passion for web writing.
- Knowledge on web design software, photography, and SEO would be an added advantage.
- Internet savvy with good research skills.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience with portfolio.
- Applicants must be currently based in Singapore.
