Senior Writer/Translator (Simplified Chinese)
Responsibilities:
* Create the industry benchmark for editorial and retail synergy through innovation, creativity and commercial success Ensure reliable and secure infrastructure.
* Assist on detailing a content strategy for the Lane Crawford website and positions Lane Crawford as the authority on international fashion and lifestyle for China, ensuring constant traffic to the website.
* Write, translate and/or top-edit all multi-media editorial and website text in Simplified Chinese, ensuring nuance is retained for the luxury fashion market in China.
* Assist on creating and managing an international network of first-class contributors, particularly Simplified-Chinese writers or bloggers from China.
* Create a best-in-class bi-lingual multi-media fashion/lifestyle editorial team, working to tight and changing deadlines.
* To assist with the planning and allocation of manpower and resources for the Editorial team, in order to meet publishing deadlines
Requirements:
* Degree in in Journalism or related discipline.
* Editorial background in the Hong Kong or China media industry, with strong, fast translation skills from English to Simplified Chinese (and vice versa).
* Preferably has a minimum of 5 years in the fashion editorial industry, with China experience and knowledge.
* A creative ideas person who can write, translate and top-edit in Simplified Chinese, with expertise in fashion, luxury, lifestyle and China, plus e-commerce terminology.
* Well-organized, strong on planning and deadline-orientated.
* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Has news sensibility, with printed, online media experience and an international network within the fashion industry and media
* Multi-media generation and production experience is an asset.
