Assistant/ Editor South East Asia (Singapore)
Responsibilities:
In this role you will maintain and update content for ESPN STAR Sports online properties, using resources available to the Digital Media Team in a creative and editorially sound manner to maximise the experience for users. You will work closely with ESPN STAR Sports production teams to produce unique written and video content. You will manage feeds, updating photo galleries, contributor columns and blogs as well as updating the various Social Media platforms operated by ESPN STAR Sports. This included the sub-editing duties for all content and competitions produced and available for the web.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of Content Management Systems and Social Media platforms
* Ideally a degree in journalism or related field or at 3 years experience as a digital editor or multimedia producer.
* Must be willing to work changing shifts including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.
* Exceptional knowledge of European, American and International sports, with particular strength in Football and Cricket.
* Familiarity with Asia, Asian athletes, teams, nations, cultures, languages,pronunciations.
* Excellent spelling, grammar and journalistic style skills;
* Hands-on experience leveraging key digital word of mouth platforms, including Facebook and Twitter
* Ability to write, adapt and translate with accuracy, clarity and style, appropriate to audiences in the region.
