The Department of Atomic Agency (DAE) is conducting its 23 All India Essay Contest on Nuclear Science and Technology for full time students of any graduation courses from Indian universities and deemed universities, according to a NFC press release.
Those candidates who won prizes in the earlier contests conducted by DAE are not eligible. The essay can be written in English as well as in any official Indian language, and should not exceed 1500 words including 350 words for introduction on DAE. The essay should be sent to the Administrative Officer, Public Awareness Division, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, Anushakti Bhavan, CSM Marg, Mumbai – 400001, on or before Aug 8.
A total of 30 essays will be selected and their authors will be invited to Mumbai for an oral presentation. The prizes (two in each category) are First – Rs. 15,000, Second – 10,000, Third – 5,000 .
