Chillibreeze Solutions, India’s top rated content development and PowerPoint makeover services establishment, is organizing a creative writing workshop for children on May 19, 2011 at Bangalore. The unique theme is all about writing creatively using musical prompts!
Titled as “Doodles and Scribbles: 2011” with the tagline ‘Stringing Words to Music’, this annual workshop for children is being organized in association with the British Council Library. It is a fun and exciting retreat for young minds aged between 10 and 15 years who have a natural flair for creative writing in English. As the name suggests, “Doodles and Scribbles: 2011” is about stringing words to the sound of music, helping children learn how to connect musical sounds to magical words.
This creative workshop will comprise of four different activities with breaks in between. Music, ranging from Western classical and jazz to Bollywood hits and rock n’ roll, will be played to set the theme. There will be plenty of interaction and sharing of ideas between the participants and at the end of the session, each one would have learnt the art of creating original storylines and essays based on musical prompts. According to Chillibreeze sources, the best storylines will also be published online on Chillibreeze along with the participants’ photograph.
This is the second time such a workshop for children, is being organized by Chillibreeze. “The success of the Doodles and Scribbles 2010 and the positive reviews we received from parents and children alike, is what prompted us to initiate Doodles and Scribbles 2011”, said Vidya Prabhakar, Senior Manager at Chillibreeze.
The 4-hour workshop starts at 9:30 a.m. and will be conducted by Chillibreeze trainer, Meenakshi Venkat, a former teacher of English Literature, who has lived and taught both in the US as well as India.
