Job Opening: Online News Editor for The Daily Star Lebanon
The Daily Star is the only English Language Newspaper in Lebanon and a leading publication in the Middle East.

The Online News Editor will be responsible for updating the site with news and data provided by the newswires. Will select stories from newswires pertaining to politics, business, sports, social issues and entertainment to be published on the site throughout the day.

He/ she will work closely with Graphics Designer to add images, charts or illustrations to stories. Will also work closely with the rest of team to ensure stories published on the website are interactive and in accordance with policy.

He/ she determines placement of stories based on relative significance, available space, and knowledge of layout of the website. As time permits will also write short stories as directed by Online Editor.
