Malaysia Information Department's 2011 Writing Contest

Malaysia Information Department is calling all journalists from the print media in the state to participant in its feature writing contest. The contest, themed ‘Sarawak’s Economic and Social Transformation: Challenges and Success’ is divided into Bahasa Melayu, English and Chinese categories.


The first prize winner will get RM1,200 while the second and third prize winners will walk away with RM1,000 and RM800 respectively. Three others will stand to receive RM500 each as consolation prizes.

The feature must be between 1,300 to 1,500 words, typed on A4 paper with one-and-a-half spacing, using Arial font, size 12. Every page must also be numbered. Note that the article must be an original one that has never been published.
