Thomson Reuters is looking for a talented journalist to join the busy Company News team in Mumbai and be a part of one of the most exciting business stories in the world. He or she will be tasked with boosting coverage of the hot property and infrastructure sectors in Asia's third-largest economy. The successful candidate will be a strong reporter and writer who can break news on the sectors' top companies, including corporate shake-ups, deals, and key trends. The reporter must also handle the bread and butter of corporate news reporting - winning timings on key announcements, covering earnings, timely interviews of high profile and hard-to-get executives. The candidate will be expected to jump in and help team members when big stories break, or working with colleagues on a special report. The successful candidate will be expected to go out and build sources. He or she will also be able to explain to a global audience the personalities and issues surrounding a sector that is core to the India growth story, and where money and politics often converge. Many of India's most colorful tycoons are active in property and infrastructure and there is tremendous demand from international clients to know more about them. It is also one of the most seductive and frustrating industries for foreign investors. The successful candidate will be a team player, working as a core member of the India company news team, which includes Delhi and Bangalore.
