Fox International Productions' Chinese Film Development Award

The Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) and FOX International Productions (FOX) will launch the FOX CHINESE FILM DEVELOPMENT AWARD to support the development of Chinese-language films by offering a "First-Look Deal" in HAF. In association with FOX, HAF will select one Chinese-language film project at HAF 2012, to receive a film development award prize of HKD100,000 and a "First-Look Deal" with FOX.


Selection criteria will be based on the project’s creativity and originality, its Asian cultural contents, and its potential for production into a full length theatrical motion picture with artistic and commercial qualities.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be the sole and exclusive copyright owner of the project and the Award shall be subject to satisfactory evidence of clear chain of title;
2. Chinese-languages projects or projects with high possibility to be adapted into Chinese language motion pictures;
3. No financing or sales representative attached; and
4. The project may be at any stage of development.

Entry Materials - Compulsory (Bilingual):

1. Completed project entry form
2. Synopsis
3. Director's statement on the project
4. Writer/Director/Producer profile and filmography
5. Provide proof of ownership of the copyright of the submitted project and clear chain of title

The award winner must:

* warrant that the winning project is an original work free from any third party rights;
* agree to offer exclusive first look development right of the winning project to FOX by signing the Development Contract on Fox’s standard terms and conditions.

Prize: HKD100,000 (approximately USD12,500)
