Singapore Writing Residency (International) at Nanyang Technological University
Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore National Arts Council seek to appoint an outstanding writer of any nationality to the newly established Singapore Writing Residency (International). The writer will be hosted at NTU, and will work within the Creative Writing programme at the Division of English for a period of up to a year, alongside a national writer-in-residence. She or he will undertake light teaching duties (a single class per semester or equivalent mentorship), provide one to two public readings each semester, and devote the remaining time to his or her own writing.

Applicants may be writers working in poetry, fiction, playwriting, screenwriting, creative non-fiction, multimedia writing or any other literary form. The appointed writer will have an international publication history and a record of literary excellence.

The position offers generous remuneration on the academic salary scale, additional research funds of up to $10 000 SGD, and campus accommodation.

Applications will close on July 15th, 2011. The appointee will take up the position between August 2011 and January 2012; applications for partial terms will be considered.
