Seven works have been placed in the shortlist. The number has been drawn from a total of 800 submitted works of compilation and translation in four categories of history, geography, poetry and fiction and university thesis.
The works have been created during the past 30 years about the Persian Gulf.
The Shore Crown by Mohammad Valizadeh, the Blue Frame by Ali Agha Ghafar, and On the Blue Roads by late Nader Ebrahimi have been announced as the best novels about Persian Gulf.
Also the following poetry books are to be reassessed in the final round of screenings: Jang-nameh-ye Kesham by Dr. Kheirandish, Darian Pearl and Mahya: a Poet from South both composed by Ahmad Habibi, and Divans for the Persian Gulf by Jafar Hamidi.
