Asia Writes's featured writer Zosimo Quibilan will be reading at the Mixed Roots Film and Literary Festival on June 12, 2011.
The Festival is a fiscally sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization, celebrating stories of the Mixed experience. Each year the Festival brings together film and book lovers, innovative and emerging artists, and multiracial families and individuals for two days of workshops, readings, film screenings and live performance including music, comedy and spoken word.

Filipino-born Zosimo Quibilan, Jr. won the 2006 Philippine National Book Award for Short Story and the 8th Madrigal-Gonzalez Best First Book Award in 2008 for Pagluwas (Going to the City) published by the University of the Philippines Press in 2006.
He will be joined by Sarah Culberson, Danzy Senna, and Marie Mutsuki Mockett on June 12 from 1:30-2:30pm at the National Center for Democracy, Tateuchi Democracy Forum.
