Teaching Consultant in Chinese Language and Literature in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 20110233)
Applications are invited for appointment as Teaching Consultant in Chinese Language and Literature in the Faculty of Education, tenable from September 1, 2011, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with a strong possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have strengths and experience in teaching one or more of the following areas: Chinese as a second/foreign language, teaching and learning of Chinese language, teaching and learning of Chinese modern and classical literature. Expertise and experience relating to the International Baccalaureate Chinese curriculum would be desirable.
Applicants should have at least a higher degree in the relevant area, a professional teaching qualification, not less than 5 years¡¦ teaching experience, and good knowledge of the local education scene. Appointees will be required to take up substantial teaching responsibilities, undertake school practicum supervision, and undertake administrative responsibilities. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical/dental benefits.
