Project Editor (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Hong Kong University Press (Ref.: 20110285) (from as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal) Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification, an excellent command of written and spoken English, a very good eye for detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Professional experience in publishing, including knowledge of international copyediting standards and emerging electronic publishing trends, and some knowledge of written and spoken Chinese are highly desirable. The appointee will supervise copyediting and other editorial work by freelance editors on new titles and reprints, and/or directly copyedit 15-25 new manuscripts annually.
