Copy Editor (National Capital Reg - Quezon City)
Responsibilities:
The Copy Editor shall be responsible in ensuring that articles for publication are well-written, grammatically correct and are accomplished within the deadlines set. He shall be responsible for maintaining a consistent house style and is suitable for its intended readership. He shall work closely with the creative director, producers and other editors in different offices in different time zones.
* Check articles and ensure that it is well-written and logically structured and in the right style for the intended audience
* Edit content and articles for client websites
* Coordinate on projects with staff across departments
* Maintain a consistent style and tone throughout all edited content
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism or English.
* At least 1 to 3 years experience in copywriting is preferred
* Excellent command of the English language, with emphasis on spelling, grammar and punctuation
* Extensive knowledge and interest in lifestyle, sports and online entertainment would be an advantage
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Highly adaptable and process-oriented with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects
* Proven time management strategies in a fast paced environment
* Meticulous with a keen eye for details is a must
* Proficient in MS Office Applications
* Basic understanding of Wordpress
* Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.
