Call for Submissions: Ilanot Review Israel Fall 2011 Issue

The Ilanot Review puts out two editions per year, with the aim of providing a platform for English writing in Israel in general, and students and graduates of the Shaindy Rudoff Program for Creative Writing in particular. The spring issue only publishes work by Bar-Ilan students, graduates, as well as writers who are in some way affiliated with the Shaindy Rudoff Program. The fall issue is open to submissions from all writers who have lived or currently live in Israel.


The theme of the fall 2011 edition is: Food. Now open to submissions from all English language writers who live or have lived in Israel. All submissions should include your contact information and a short bio.

We welcome submissions of all of the following:
  • Poetry - up to four poems
  • Fiction – a short story of up to 5000 words
  • Creative non-fiction – an essay of up to 5000 words
  • Memoir – a personal essay of up to 5000 words
  • Travel writing – an essay of up to 5000 words
  • Flash fiction – a short short story of up to 300 words
Deadline for submissions to the fall issue: June 30
