London Iranian Film Festival is calling for entries for the 2nd Iranian Film Festival in London. Submissions are welcomed from all around the world::

In order to submit a film to the Festival, follow the procedure below:
1) Register on our website
2) Fill in the relevant online application form: Short Film, Feature Film, Documentary or Animation.
3) Send a copy of your preview DVD and press kit to the following address:

What to Submit?
You can submit a film in any style, genre and on any subject. Films can be any one of the three categories:
* Feature - a film more than 60 minutes in length
* Animation - a film no longer than 120 minutes
* Documentary - a film no longer than 3 hours
* Short - a film no longer than 30 minutes
UKIFF will consider all entries including animation films, as long as the film has consistent Iranian elements, whether the themes explore Iran, the culture or the people.
Why Submit?
This is great chance for professionals and amateurs to have their creative works publicly premiered, to network and discuss future projects with a wide range of professionals in the film industry. UKIFF is giving 'you', the passionate filmmaker; regardless of age or experience an equal opportunity to submit your work. There is no submission fee to pay when submitting your film(s), so you can put your time, money and energy into making the best film possible.
When to Submit?
* Submissions open on 1st April 2011
* Early Deadline: 1st May 2011
* Regular Deadline: 1st June 2011
* Late Deadline (London Office only): 1st July 2011
For information regarding submission procedures, please read the Submission Guidelines. Once your submission is completed you will receive a confirmation email, notifying you that we have received your application and entry.
PLEASE NOTE: Festival will not accept entries without a complete Press Kit. If selected, the film maker will need to provide the original copy of the film. If you have any further questions regarding submissions, please contact us: submissions2011@ukiff.org.uk
Eligibility
* Entries are open to all amateur and professional filmmakers.
* There are no age restrictions.
* There is no submission fee to enter your film.
* A maximum of 3 entries per person will be accepted.
* Films that have been previously broadcast on Television, Cable or Internet prior to the Festival are NOT eligible for submission, unless discussed and agreed with the Festival submissions team.
* Films must have been produced since January 2008
Films
* Films can be in any genre or style, and the Festival will consider all entries.
* Short Films submitted should be no longer than 30 minutes.
* Feature Films submitted should be a minimum of 60 minutes.
* Animations submitted should be no longer than 120 minutes
* Documentaries submitted should be no longer than 3 hours.
* Entries received will not be guaranteed screening or inclusion in the Festival programme.
* Entries should be suitable for a general audience.
Copyright
* All copyrighted material included in the film must be cleared.
* The Festival will not be held responsible for any inclusion of un-cleared materials.
* It is the sole responsibility of the person submitting the project to secure permission from the copyright holder of the material in question, whether it is music, stock footage, or any other elements that could violate an existing copyright.
Format
Film submissions will be accepted any one of the following formats:
* DVD (PAL/NSTC) Digital Video - HDV (PAL), HDCAM (PAL), DVCAM (PAL), DigiBeta (PAL) Analogue Video – BetaSp (PAL) Film Gauge - 35mm
Non-English films submitted should either have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
Screenings and Scheduling
* Films must be available for screenings during the London Iranian Film Festival, which will be held in November 2010.
* If your film is selected for the London Iranian Film Festival, we will require a press kit.
* By submitting films to the Festival, entrants agree to participate in such promotional activity and material that the Festival may require.
* If you agree, the Festival may upload short films and documentaries that are not selected for the Festival for viewing purposes ONLY on our website.
Judging & Selection
* All films received will go through a screening process.
* Entrants will be notified if their films have been selected, and may be invited for a Q&A session at the Festival.
* Entrants selected will be issued with Festival passes to attend the Festival.
* A panel of juries will judge entries for selection.
* The judging panel will feature representatives of the media and film industry.
* All selection decisions are final and at the discretion of the Festival and its judges.
Shipping
* All costs for insurance and shipping of submission materials to the Festival are the responsibility of the sender.
* The Festival may be able to cover the shipping costs from the country of origin, for 35 mm print, however this is at the discretion of the Festival.
* The Festival is not responsible for any customs clearances or duty charges resulting from the import of materials.
* The Festival recommends that when sending your materials, you do not declare a value on your submission, as this may cause hold up in customs.
* The Festival recommends that when sending your materials, you use bubble-lined envelopes rather than fibber-filled ones.
* The Festival cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to submitted materials incurred in shipping.
* The Festival cannot accept responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed.
* The Festival is not responsible for the return costs of submitted materials.
* Preview DVDs will not be returned.
* Submitted press materials will not be returned.
